Spring Intern Spotlight: Kelsey Payne

While communications writing is a large part of what we do at RLF, creative execution is also essential to our client work. RLF’s creative department continues to grow with the addition of Kelsey Payne, our very first graphic design intern. Kelsey will shadow our creative director, gaining insight into the creative process for various types of projects.
Read more about Kelsey in our final spring intern spotlight.

“I am a senior studying Strategic Communications at Elon University, but I’m originally from a small town just outside Nashville, Tennessee. I spent last fall studying abroad in Spain, where I also got to visit 9 other European countries. My dream would be to work abroad in the next few years, hopefully designing for a magazine or a PR agency!”
If you could have dinner with one person dead or alive who would it be?
Maybe JFK. Last semester I took a class on the Kennedy assassination and it was really interesting! I’ve been really into learning about the Kennedy family ever since.
If you could be a superhero, what would you want your superpower to be?
It would definitely be to fly. I love to travel, so I would use it to see the world.
If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
My answer to this probably changes weekly, but for now I’m going to say sweet potatoes. Though avocados are a close second!
Tell us two things most people don’t know about you.
One would be that I have been skydiving over the Great Barrier Reef. And two, I am currently training for my first half-marathon. To give you all some perspective on that last one, before October I had never run more than a mile in my life. It’s been an interesting journey so far!
If you could switch bodies with a celebrity for one day, who would it be and why?
I tried to pick just one, but either Blake Lively, Emma Watson, or Jennifer Lawrence. They all seem really funny and down-to-earth. Plus, I’d love to raid their closets!
