The communications industry is constantly in flux and there is always room to learn. Even after attending comprehensive classes at a college or university, students should strive to supplement knowledge with real world experience.
At RLF, our interns work alongside seasoned industry professionals to learn the ins and outs of public relations, marketing and advertising.
Today our summer intern spotlight is on Rebecca.
School & Year: Senior at Elon University
Do you have any hidden talents?
I’ve always had a love for music and have played the piano, clarinet and sang for many years. Also, after many years of service projects, I’ve gotten pretty good at construction work such as hammering, painting and drilling. I actually find it really fun.
If you could host a talk show, who would be your first guest?
Mindy Kaling. She’s ridiculously funny and doesn’t take herself too seriously.
What fictional place would you like to visit?
Stars Hollow from the TV show Gilmore Girls. It’s so charming and everyone just drinks coffee all day. I’m from a small town, so I love that everyone in Stars Hollow knows each other.
Name 3 things you think would be obsolete in 10 years.
Landline phones, DVDs and CDs.
What is your dream job?
To have a show on the Travel Channel where I travel the world and review coffee.
